JUST IN: Jigan Speaks Out After VeryDarkMan’s Explosive Revelation—Says ‘I Left When I Saw No Genuine Justice for Mohbad’

busterblog - JUST IN: Jigan Speaks Out After VeryDarkMan’s Explosive Revelation—Says ‘I Left When I Saw No Genuine Justice for Mohbad’

Nollywood actor Jigan Babaoja has broken his silence following his unexpected mention in the damning exposé by activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), who recently shook social media with fresh allegations and leaked chat logs implicating several top figures in the Justice for Mohbad movement.

In a bold move to clear his name, Jigan released a heartfelt video response—spoken entirely in Yoruba—where he addressed the swirling allegations and offered clarity on his own involvement in the post-Mohbad campaign. The actor revealed that he had initially joined the WhatsApp groups and online mobilizations with a sincere heart and the sole intention of demanding justice for the late singer, Mohbad. However, he claims he later withdrew from the groups upon realizing that “justice” might not have been the genuine goal of everyone involved.

Jigan’s defense comes after VDM dropped shocking evidence allegedly showing a coordinated manipulation effort by select celebrities and influencers—including Iyabo Ojo, Tonto Dikeh, Davido’s PR Dre, and others. These figures were accused of leveraging the tragedy for personal influence, narrative control, and in some cases, suppression of dissenting voices, including that of VDM himself.

While Jigan’s name was not front and center in the conspiracy, his inclusion in the leaked chat groups stirred public curiosity and suspicion—forcing the actor to step forward. “When I noticed things were no longer aligned with truth, I removed myself,” he said in the emotional video, stressing that he was never part of any cover-up or agenda.

This controversy, now reignited by VDM’s revelations, further paints a picture of division within the celebrity-led justice movement, exposing deep cracks in what once seemed a united front. It also highlights a dangerous trend where activism, celebrity clout, and online influence intertwine—sometimes to the detriment of actual justice.

Jigan’s response is not just a personal defense; it adds another layer to the public’s growing skepticism over the entire campaign. With trials still looming—such as VDM’s ongoing cyberbullying case involving Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh—and the actual circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death still murky, the Nigerian public remains caught between outrage, confusion, and fatigue.

One thing is certain: the fight for #JusticeForMohbad has become far more complicated than anyone imagined—and voices like Jigan’s, who once stood in solidarity, are now questioning the very foundation of the movement.
