LANDLORD NAMED AS MASTERMIND BEHIND ABDUCTION AND KILLING OF AAUA STUDENTS — NATION IN SHOCK

busterblog - LANDLORD NAMED AS MASTERMIND BEHIND ABDUCTION AND KILLING OF AAUA STUDENTS — NATION IN SHOCK

In what can only be described as a horrifying betrayal of trust, the Ondo State Police Command has uncovered the chilling truth behind the abduction and murder of two students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA).

In a development that has left the entire nation shaken, the landlord of one of the victims has been identified as the mastermind behind the brutal crime that cut short two promising young lives.

According to the Commissioner of Police, CP Abayomi Oladipo, investigations revealed that Oladele Femi, the landlord, plotted and executed the deadly operation with the help of a gang he personally recruited.

The victims, Andrel Eloho Okah and John Friday Abah, were declared missing earlier this month, sparking tension and mass concern among students, families, and activists. Now, the true horror of their fate is coming to light.

Police say Femi conspired with three others — Ojo Michael, Kola (currently on the run), and Abdul Mohammed Mubarak — to kidnap, rob, and ultimately eliminate the students. The motive: money.

The gang reportedly withdrew ₦800,000 from one of the victims' accounts during the time they were held captive. The crime took a darker turn when Eloho reportedly recognized one of the assailants — leading the gang to decide the only way to cover their tracks was to kill both students.

Their lifeless bodies were dumped in a forest between Agbado and Ode-Ekiti, where only one has been recovered so far. Investigators say the second body may have been carried away by a river.

Mubarak, arrested in Lagos with an iPhone 14 Pro belonging to one of the deceased, eventually confessed and led detectives to the crime scene. The gang had also stolen and sold the students’ Lexus RX 350 SUV, now recovered by authorities.

The revelation that a landlord — someone entrusted with the safety and welfare of tenants — was the very person who facilitated their deaths has left parents, students, and the entire AAUA community in anguish. Social media has erupted in grief and fury, with many calling for swift and unforgiving justice.

“This is not just murder; this is calculated evil,” a student leader told Busterblog.com. “You rent a place expecting peace and safety — not death by betrayal.”

Meanwhile, a manhunt is ongoing for “Kola,” the only suspect still at large, as the police vow to bring every conspirator to justice. The Commissioner assured the public that prosecution will be thorough and uncompromising.

This case is a sobering reminder of the dangers young Nigerians face — not just from strangers, but from those they trust the most. It raises urgent questions about tenant safety, background checks, and the unseen evils lurking within communities across the country.

For now, two families mourn, a university grieves, and the rest of Nigeria watches in stunned silence — waiting for justice to speak louder than the horror these students endured.
