Mohbad’s Family Demands Fresh Probe, Bars Wife from Using ‘Aloba’ Surname Pending DNA Test

The family of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has called for a fresh investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, while also issuing a firm directive to his partner, Wunmi Adebanjo, to stop using the family surname “Aloba” until the court-mandated DNA test is completed.

The statement, jointly signed by Omolayo Aloba, the family head, and Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, was released between Tuesday and Wednesday, underscoring growing tension between both families as the legal and social controversies surrounding the late artist’s death continue to unfold.
