Vanished After ‘Divine Instruction’: Fashion CEO Ejiro Missing After Joining Controversial Instagram Prayer Group

busterblog - Vanished After ‘Divine Instruction’: Fashion CEO Ejiro Missing After Joining Controversial Instagram Prayer Group

A wave of shock, fear, and confusion has spread through Nigeria’s fashion and business communities as news breaks about the mysterious disappearance of rising fashion entrepreneur, Ejiro, the CEO of @stylebyejiro. The young businesswoman, described as vibrant, warm, and immensely talented, has not been seen or heard from in weeks after reportedly getting involved with a so-called prayer group on Instagram.

The chilling story began unfolding on social media when celebrity fashion designer and mentor, NHN Couture, took to her Instagram page to sound the alarm. In a series of emotional posts, NHN expressed deep concern for Ejiro, whom she refers to as a daughter. Her message was clear and urgent: “WHERE IS EJIRO?” The post went on to detail a disturbing series of events involving Ejiro's sudden transformation after joining the online prayer group.

According to NHN and several others who have reached out since the story went viral, Ejiro was allegedly brainwashed by the leader of the group who convinced her that God had chosen her for a special divine assignment. The supposed divine instruction? Shut down her thriving business, liquidate all her assets, and donate the proceeds to the prayer group as a “seed.” In what can only be described as a shocking turn of obedience, Ejiro reportedly closed her boutique, sold everything in her shop, her gold jewelry, and even her car—handing every last kobo to the group’s convener.

But it didn’t stop there. The group reportedly began isolating Ejiro from her loved ones, convincing her that her mother was a witch and that her family wanted to harm her. Once separated emotionally and financially from her life, her past, and her support system, Ejiro vanished without a trace. Friends and family haven’t heard from her since, and there’s now a growing fear for her safety.

“This is more crazy than we thought,” NHN wrote. “My DM is full of families looking for their loved ones that joined that same prayer group.” She went on to call for mass action, urging social media users, influencers, and public figures to amplify the message using the hashtag #WhereIsEjiro. NHN also confirmed that the case has been reported to the relevant authorities, but time is ticking, and Ejiro’s whereabouts remain unknown.

What started as a cry for help has now turned into a larger conversation about the rise of manipulative online religious groups operating under the guise of spiritual revival and deliverance. These groups, often led by self-proclaimed prophets or spiritual “mothers and fathers,” lure unsuspecting individuals—mostly young women—into their webs using fear, fake prophecies, and a promise of purpose. Once indoctrinated, victims are allegedly coerced into abandoning their careers, cutting ties with loved ones, and surrendering their assets in the name of spiritual sowing.

In Ejiro’s case, it seems the prayer group’s tactics followed a well-rehearsed script. First, isolate her from her environment. Then, instill fear of her closest family members. Finally, convince her to strip herself of all material possessions to prove her faith. Tragically, it appears Ejiro followed every instruction to the letter, leaving behind a promising future and a community of clients and admirers devastated by her disappearance.

Her Instagram page, once full of cheerful fashion tips, new arrivals, and customer praise, now stands frozen in time—a digital memory of a life that many fear may have been completely dismantled. Her followers, once customers, are now concerned citizens flooding the comments with prayers, messages of support, and desperate pleas for her return.

Even more disturbing are the DMs and testimonials NHN says she’s received since going public. Families across the country are coming forward with similar stories—loved ones who joined the same prayer group and have not been seen since. Some allege that the group operates from an undisclosed camp, possibly in a remote area, making it difficult to trace or intervene without reliable leads.

Now, the call for justice and rescue grows louder. NHN’s plea is not just for Ejiro but for every young person who may be at risk of falling prey to such spiritual manipulation disguised as prayer and prophecy. “We are looking for those with information where we can locate the camp she was taken to,” she wrote, urging anyone with details to send her a direct message immediately.

Meanwhile, the police and other security agencies have reportedly been alerted and are investigating the matter, but with no concrete information about the location of the group or its members, their hands appear tied. Still, family, friends, and well-wishers are holding onto hope—hope that Ejiro is alive, hope that she can be found, and hope that justice will prevail against those who have torn apart so many lives in the name of God.

As the nation watches and waits, one question lingers in everyone’s hearts: Where is Ejiro?

If you have any information that could help locate her or the group in question, please contact local authorities or send a message to @nhn_couture on Instagram. Let’s bring Ejiro home. Alive. Safe. And free.
